At the kitchen 
  1. Wash your hands with soap and water before food  handling
  2. Wash your hands before and after preparing each type of food, especially raw meat and seafood.
  3. Wash your hands after using the toilet
  4. Wash and soak fruits and vegetables before eating.
  5. Clean all kitchen surfaces with soap and hot water.
  6. Wash knives, cutting boards and kitchen utensils between uses
  7. Wash dishcloths frequently or use paper towels instead.
  8. Disinfect kitchen sponges in chlorine solution or heat for 2 minutes in the microwave oven.
  9. Clean up your kitchen as soon as possible.
  10. Do not let food residue dry on kitchen surfaces and utensils till it becomes more difficult to remove.
